Project Folders are an enhanced version of the original "Folders" feature. They provide a dedicated space to help you better organize your projects by letting you:
- Assign a specific AI model or AI agent to each project.
- Add custom system instructions.
- Upload relevant documents directly to the project or connect with your data sources using Dynamic Context.
With Project Folders, every chat or task within a project has the right context and resources available.
What can Project Folders do?
Project Folders create a central hub for chat activities related to specific tasks. Here's what they can do for you:
- Select a specific model for your Project: Choose an AI model for each project. New chats will automatically use your selected model, which you can adjust as your project progresses.
- Select a default AI Agent: Assign an AI Agent to your Project Folder. All new chats within that project will start with your chosen AI agent.
- Provide context and instructions: Set guidelines for the AI within your project, including tone, response style, and focus areas. These project-specific instructions work independently from global system settings, letting you tailor the AI's behavior to each project's needs.
- Build persistent memory for your project by uploading training documents: Upload essential documents—like reports, datasets, or style guides—directly into each Project Folder. These files become embedded in the project's system instructions.
- Connect with your data sources using Dynamic Context: Retrieve content from an API and inject it into the system prompt. This enables live information updates and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) from your own data sources (e.g., vector store database).
As a result, every new chat within the project will have access to all the knowledge you've configured for it.
